BAARC Volunteer Reunites Lost Dog with Family

Published February 28th, 2018 by Devteam

In February 2016, BAARC reunited this sweet Lab named Cookie with her family! BAARC was at an adoption event when we were apprached by a woman named Michelle who wanted to know if we accepted owner surrenders. Her husband and his friends found a sweet girl out by the delta running around in the street. After taking her to the vet and learning she wasn't microchipped and after many unsuccessful attempts at finding her family, their friend agreed to care for Cookie. But weeks had gone by and her family had not been found.

While many of us at BAARC were working on finding a foster willing to take in Cookie on such short notice, BAARC volunteer Jessica Yount decided to search online for reports of missing dogs that fit her description. Within minutes Jessica was sure she found Cookie's family. We contacted the Cheng family and left a message. They called back immediately comparing stories and pictures to make sure we had the right pup and WE DID! . To make sure Cookie never gets lost from her family again, we made sure Cookie got microchipped while she was with us. BAARC is SOO HAPPY Cookie is back in her home after being gone for a month.
